Government Services

General Business Services

Public sector divisions can often benefit from many of the same services that private sector businesses employ, so, in addition to targeted government services, we are always happy to provide our full range of standard business services, wherever they can be of support.

Implementation Support

Most private companies feel that they are operating at a significant disadvantage if they take more than a month to act on new information, yet many government bodies have chosen to accept the "fact" that operational changes take years to complete. A slow, steady approach can produce higher quality outcomes, but only up to the point where it results in projects attempting to serve needs that have long since passed or altered by the time of implementation. If an existing project is stalled out, or looks to be going over budget, we can help you identify issues and bottlenecks, then work with you to eliminate or alleviate them to help the project deliver quality results, on time.

Database & Application Development

Time after time, we find non-technical staff (and sometimes even IT departments) trying to manage complex systems with nothing but a mishap collection of spreadsheets. In addition to the maintenance and delivery of these spreadsheets acting as a significant time-sink (often unaccounted for in budgets), they tend to allow for common mistakes in data entry, and serious difficulty in identifying and reporting data errors. Migrating these systems to a well-architected, centralized database system allows for much higher data quality, as well as decreased entry time and maintenance costs.

Policy & Process Consulting

Funds for most government departments have been decaying in recent years, and trends suggest they will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. As a result, most departments are looking to strip down the quantity and/or quality of services provided, or to cut services out entirely. In our experience, many services can be maintained at their existing levels simply by re-assessing existing policies and improving the root processes involved.
